Sometimes it happens that when we are going to be absent from work there is no one to cover for us. Your colleagues are also on leave or you are all together on team building, meetings, etc. In these cases, there is no one to leave as an emergency contact and you should warn to expect a delay in response and that their email will not be forwarded. You can also leave your phone number, but only for emergencies.
