Sample Letter Of Interest For A Job Within The Same Company

If you’ve been working at a company for a longer time, you’re probably wondering if you should change position? You like the company you work for and think it’s growing, but at the same time, you already understand everything in your position and want to learn something new and grow in your career?
In that case, there is nothing wrong with trying for another position in the same company. But before you take that step let your boss know that you are thinking of applying for another position, don’t let him learn it from other people. Let him be aware of why you’re doing it.
In this post, we’ll show you a sample letter of interest for a job within the same company:

EXAMPLE 1

I would like to let you know that I am interested in another position within the company. I am thinking of applying but wanted to let you know before I do it. I am thinking of trying out for the position (POSITION) because I want a change the environment. I think my team is perfect, but I want to learn new skills and work on different tools. I will let you know when I have some feedback. I hope this doesn’t spoil our relationship and you understand me.

EXAMPLE 5

Before I take any steps I wanted to discuss a new possibility with you. There is an open position in our company that I am thinking of applying for. The position is (POSITION). What do you think and would you support me? I know I’ll leave you with one less person and more work, but on the other hand, I think I need a change professionally.

EXAMPLE 10

I’m writing to inform you that I’m interested in (POSITION). I’ve worked at the company for 3 years and I am confident that I have the necessary qualities to apply for this position. During these years, I have proved that I’m doing excellent with the assigned tasks and I would like to take a step forward. I have always believed that I should rise in my career.
The decision was not easily made because I will have to leave my current role and team which I am very used to. I very much hope this new venture will be for my own good.
