There are different situations where you can change your mind in a few days. It can also happen when you decline a job offer. You decline the offer and after a few days, you change your mind for various reasons such as – you thought you would get a better offer from another place, you thought you would be moving to a new place or you just didn’t like something about the company. After a few thoughts, you decide that the offer is actually good and you want to start working for that company. But would they give you a second chance? You lose nothing if you check. I would very much appreciate any feedback.

Having rejected the offer you sent me yesterday, today, after reconsidering the terms very carefully, I think I haven’t made the right decision. I’m fully aware that it is quite irresponsible of me, yet I have decided to write to you and ask for a second chance. I would be happy to hear back from you whether it will be positive or negative.

EXAMPLE 9

I’m writing to you in reference to a job offer you sent to me for an IT Support Agent. When I received the offer I rejected it because external factors had influenced my decision. Now that I have decided where my residency should be, I feel that your offer fully meets my desires. I would be happy to join your company if you have not yet found an employee to fill this position.

EXAMPLE 10

A few days ago I rejected an offer sent by you because I thought I would be moving to a new city. A few days later circumstances have changed and I will continue to live in London. In this relation, I would like to ask you if your job offer is still active? Will I be able to start working for you?
Many apologies for the confusion and lost time. I would be happy if you would give me a second chance.
