Thank You Note To Boss When Leaving Job

Most cool bosses give a wealth of knowledge and experience to their employees. They teach them different lessons, train them and accompany them in life. That is why when we leave we feel lost that we have to leave them and take a new path. When this is going to happen anyway, there is only one last thing you can do – write an email thanking them for all their efforts.
In this post, we’ll show you some examples of what you can write to your boss when leaving your job, but you can always add something of your own, insert a personal story, etc.

EXAMPLE 1

Dear boss,
I’m writing you this email to thank you for the opportunity you have given me to be a part of (COMPANY NAME). You have taught me how a true leader should behave and how to always keep work running smoothly. How to do my tasks perfectly and at the same time not forget to take time for myself.
Thank you for everything once again. I wish you much professional success and I hope we can keep our wonderful relationship.
Sincerely yours,
(NAME)

EXAMPLE 2

Dear boss,
I will no longer be part of (COMPANY NAME), so I decided to write this email to thank you for a few things. First I want to thank you for the opportunity to be a part of the coolest team. You have been my family for the past years and I have spent most of my daily life with you. I will be very sad for each of you, but I hope to see you from time to time. Secondly, I wanted to thank you personally for teaching me so many things such as keeping calm when there is something urgent, seeking help when I don’t understand something, and most importantly how to behave with customers. Thank you so much!
Faithfully yours,

Dear boss,
I’m very sad that I won’t be part of (COMPANY NAME) in a few days. Unfortunately, we all follow our own path in life, and as much as we would like to sometimes we have to break away from the now to find our way to the better. I don’t know what is in store for me, but I know one thing for sure and that is that I will miss you and all my colleagues very much. I sincerely thank you for the good emotions and experiences. I have learned a lot from you and will be grateful for a lifetime.
Yours respectfully,
